Last year my youngest brother starting talking about how he wanted a shake flashlight. He’s really funny in a way, as once he becomes interested in something it is all he talks about. I don’t mean major things, I mean things like really neat flashlights or a movie. It’s very cute though, and I had to admit that the idea of a flashlight that didn’t need batteries was an interesting one. I went out to find him one for Christmas but the store that stocked it was out of them by the time I got there. Apparently, it was a popular items that year on many people’s lists.

My brother first saw the shake flashlight on a television advertisement. He said that it doesn’t need batteries, and all you have to do when you want to use it is to shake it. I’m not quite sure how that works, but I do have vague memories of shaking a flashlight in the past hoping that would help. It never did. Perhaps this is what sparked the idea in someone’s mind to invent the shake flashlight. I’m not sure how it works, but I think it is a great idea.

You may have to pay a lot more for a shake flashlight, but think of it as an initial investment that will save you money in future. Not only will you never have to buy batteries for a shake flashlight, you also will never have to worry about it conking out at the worst possible moment. You may want to buy a few of these. Having one in your home and one in your car will mean that you will have emergency light whenever you need it and you won’t have to be worried about the batteries being dead.

The only store I knew sold the shake flashlight was Bed Bath and Beyond. I am sure there are others, but this was the only one that had them when I was shopping. They just didn’t have any in stock when I went in. You may want to look online to see if you can find a site that sells the shake flashlight, or at the very least a list of stores that sell them. You may also want to seek reviews online to see just how well they work and how much shaking you have to do in order to get one to work.
